The API standard is short for the American Petroleum Institute. It is one of the production standards for oil pipeline steel pipes. It also includes API5L ASME A53 and some other standards.
The oil casing is an important equipment for oil drilling. Its main equipment also includes drill pipe, core pipe and casing, drill collar and steel pipe for small diameter drilling.
Tubing specifications: 8-1240 × 1-200mm
Standard:
API SPEC 5CT - American Petroleum Institute Standard
SYT 6194-2003 — Oil and gas industry, oil and gas well casing or tubing for oil pipe
Use: Pipes that are used in production or liquid injection
The main production of steel pipe grade: J55, K55, N80, L80, P110, etc.
Tubing classification: non-thickening tubing (NU), outer thickening tubing (EU), integral joint tubing (IJ)
In the API5CT, the casing and tubing are divided into 4 groups and 19 steel grades. According to the manufacturing method, it is divided into two categories: seamless pipe and welded pipe. In addition to L80-9Cr, L80-13Cr, C90-1, C90-2, T95-1, T95-2, a total of 6 steel grades are limited to use seamless pipes, other steel grades can use seamless pipes, and can also use resistance welding or straight seam welded pipe produced by electric induction welding.
